Cookie policy

Cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser’s local storage) let a website store small pieces of information on your device. MGG Carpintería uses as few as possible and never for advertising. This policy follows Article 22(2) of Spain’s LSSI-CE and the guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

These are essential for the site to work and do not require consent. All are first-party (set by our own domain):

mgg_consent — Remembers the choices you made in the cookie banner so we don’t ask again on every visit. Duration: 12 months.

mgg_market — Remembers the language and market you have expressly chosen in the language selector (for example “Italia — Italiano”). It is only stored when you make that choice. Duration: 12 months. The browser’s local storage also keeps that choice and, if you dismiss the language suggestion, the fact that you do not want to see it again.

mgg_admin — Keeps the admin area session open. It is only set for authorised staff who sign in; visitors never receive it. Duration: 12 hours.

mgg_internal — An admin-only flag used to exclude our own team’s traffic from statistics. Visitors never receive it.

If you accept analytics, we measure in aggregate which pages are visited, where visits come from, and which language or device is used, so we can improve the site.

We also estimate the active time of the visit: it only counts while the page is visible and there is recent activity (scrolling, click, keyboard or touch, without recording what is typed or where you click). If you submit a request, that time and the pages viewed in the session are linked to it so we can handle it better. It does not measure your intent and is not used for automated decisions.

Our analytics are first-party: data is sent to our own server, not to third parties. We use random identifiers in browser storage: mgg_sid (sessionStorage, cleared when you close the tab), mgg_nav_s and mgg_nav_lock (localStorage; a measurement session that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity, and coordination between tabs). We set no third-party cookies and use no fingerprinting. Browsing detail is kept for a maximum of 90 days; the summary linked to a request is kept together with it.

If you do not consent, no analytics data is collected and the form works just the same. If you withdraw consent, measurement stops and any browsing not yet linked to a request is deleted.

If you accept this category, we load the OpenAI measurement pixel (ChatGPT Ads) to know whether a visit coming from an ad on ChatGPT ends in a quote request. OpenAI receives the event type (page view or request created), the page, a random event identifier and your ad reference; we do not send your name, email, phone number or the form contents.

OpenAI cookies: __oppref (reference of the arrival ad; 30 days) and __obref (random browser reference for this site; 365 days). Our server may report the same request to OpenAI through its Conversions API using the same identifier, only if you have accepted this category.

This category is independent of analytics and of the consent to commercial communications in the form. If you reject or withdraw it, the pixel stops measuring, its cookies are deleted and no conversion is reported. More information on OpenAI’s processing is in its privacy policy.

You can change your preferences at any time using the “Configurar cookies” (cookie settings) link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Note that blocking necessary cookies may stop some features from working.
